Bow & Harrow Workshop started as a small theatrical scenery construction operation in Kate Harrow's driveway. A friend asked Kate if she could build a table for him, and the rest was history. Now, Bow & Harrow operates as a family business, making heirloom-quality pens, custom furniture, small household good, and all kinds of fun projects.

Kate is a storyteller, a maker and the founder of Bow & Harrow Workshop. She has a background in theatre and building scenery, which led her to woodworking with an emphasis on using materials that tell their own stories. Because of her unique approach to woodworking, Kate has gained a reputation as one of the premiere penmakers in the nation, which allowed her to create the Southern California Pen Turners Gathering. Her passion for her work and the materials she uses provided the inspiration for Kate's "Wood with a Story" collection of products. Since graduating from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Technical Direction for theatre, Kate has served as a Technical Director for Disney Creative Entertainment, Universal Studios, ModelLand by Tyra Banks as well as Warner Brothers World, Abu Dhabi. Kate has an ability to transform raw materials into a statement art piece. As a creator, Kate focuses on handmade heirloom quality designs. Her strong attention to detail allows her bespoke products to last a lifetime.

Keebo The Shop Dog (or just Bo for short) joined the Bow & Harrow team in July of 2017. She is a Shepherd mix with the longest legs and goofiest demeanor. Her favorite chew toys include hardwood scraps and screwdriver handles. You can follow her on Instagram @keebotheshopdog
